Der er blevet spillet golf i Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club siden 1909. Først anlagde man en 9-hullers bane for så 8 år snere at udvide banen til en 18-hullers golfbane.

Linksbanen ligger ude langs kysten kun 20 minutters kørsel nord for Dublin internationale lufthavn.

Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club og nabobanen County Louth Golf Club (Baltray) ligger begge i klitlandskabet ud mod havet og byder på nogle fantastiske linkshuller.

En runde golf på Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club byder på en frisk vind fra havet og lyden af bølgerne, der rammer kysten.

Layoutet er klassisk links med høje klitter, blinde slag, potbunkers og marhalm, der langs fairways opsluger alle skæve slag.

Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club, der er rangeret lige udenfor top-50 banerne i Irland er lidt at betragte som en skjult perle og en af de baner, som absolut bør spilles på golfferien i Irland.

Greenfee prisen ligger i højsæsonen på godt 400 danske kroner.
