How many bunkers?
This fine golf course opened in 1993.
Nick Faldo the designer of the golf course hit the opening tee shot, he hit it so far and so straight that someone in the crowd said "i'd like to see you do that again". And of course Nick tee'd up another ball and surely enough his second drive ended up about a foot from the first one.
When on the first hole look out for a plate in the middle of the fairway about 300 yards out with Nick Faldo's name on it!
Chart Hills is an all-round great experience. What really characterises the course is the amount if bunkers. I didn't count them all but the head pro told me they have 133 bunkers, and they re not all small...The "anaconda" on the 5th used to be Europe's longest bunker when it was built.
It's a par 72 and gives many options for what length of course you want to play; many tee options. 7130 yards from the very back tees.
